Printer output redirected to disc

A co-worker has a 4GL program that he's developing/testing which generates printed output. For his purposes, he doesn't really need printed output, and would like to not waste paper. However, he does need to review the output. Is there a way to redirect the output to a disc file, rather than letting it go to a printer? We're running in an HP-UX environment.
