one possible solutions is to have your scripts set the screen width to something wider than 80. try doing an 'stty -a' from the unix prompt and look for the 'columns ='. try stty cols 132 and run your scripts. _______________________________________________________________________________ Subject: Re: Urgent!! If result exceeds the width , then the result will be displayed as you said. I dont have solution thro query. But you can use report generator availiable in the isql menu to generate reports for the for particular table. You can change the report file using standard unix editors to modify according to your requirment. You can change the select if you want joins. You have to change the format section. It looks like format every row end Change this to format on every row print column 5,x,column 10,x2 clipped,... end For more information refer Report writter manual. Goodluck. Bye.
