Yes. Uk Support said that if tbcheck dies then your data is completely
hosed - get thos level-0/level 1 archive tapes out and check which
logical log tapes you need.
- Get all users out of the system
- Bring it to quesicent mode (tbmode -s or onmode -s)
- Stop transaction logging, take the logical log tape out and write
protect it.
- Put a new logical log tape in.
- Start a restore
- You get prompted if you want to backup the current logical logs to
tape, select Y and they will go onto the new tape.
- Put in level 0 archive tape and restore it.
- Put in level 1 archive tape(s) and restore
- Restore logical log tape(s).
