Only if you planned this in advance and have relative pathnames for the device files. Most people sensibly use absolute pathnames, and since the two sites are replicas, they both try to share the same files. One system will get upset when the other changes something it wasn't expecting... The relative pathname is only a requirement with HDR, not ER.
