locale mismatch

Hi *.* On one of my servers I have two databases (lets say dba and dbb) cretated using different DB_LOCALEs (default and de_DE.1252). When I use use dba and then do: select <whatever> from dbb:sometable I get error 1397: codeset mismatch. Is there any way around this?
