Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
tomcaml asked for software besides Replicate1 or DataMirror to move Informix data in real time. Keith Simmons suggested HDR for everything, ER for subsets, and EGM for other DBMSs, and asked for platform details. In reply to Tom's question, scottishpoet described the Informix Enterprise Gateway Manager. Captain Pedantic made a sarcastic remark about ER's reliability.

Hello
Does anyone know of software that will move data in real time, either
based on triggers or reading the Informix Log, besides Replicate1 or
IBM's DataMirror (which apparently does not even work with Informix).
Thank you

Do you want to move all your data? in which case HDR could fit the
bill. Do you want to move a subset, either of tables, columns or rows?
In which case ER is your friend. Are you moving the data to another
IDS instance/database or to a.n.other DBMS? in which case you may want
to look at EGM.
Platform, O/S, IDS Version, who, what, where, when, why?
More questions than answers !!!

Keith,
What is EGM?

Er, albeit a fairly unreliable friend who's likely not to be around when you
really need his help.
