Hello list! I have following questions: Is the 4.0 UH2 database ready for Y2k?? My DBDATE= DMY4. Is it enough with this setting? The forms using isql. The server HP9000 807S is patched with the HP Y2k patch Y2K-1001S800.tar. Thanx in advance. Dirk Emmermacher
Hi: I do not know about your version, but I know that you also have to set DBCENTURY ='C' for test. The reason for that answer is that the version you have will always add 1900 to any date specified with (1 or) 2 digits for the year, even next year when you'd probably prefer it to add 2000 instead. If you religiously display 4 digits for the year and your staff religiously type 1999 rather than 99, then you *may* be OK with what you've got. On the other hand, it is probably not a good idea to assume that things will work smoothly. It is time to upgrade. The minimal upgrade is to 5.10 server and 4.20 ISQL. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.62 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
