Hi, Just a word of appreciation to those who have reply on the subject "Optical disk as raw disk?". Thanks, especially to David W. Sharpe. I haven't started using the optical disk yet. Since some have suggested that it is impossible to use optical disk as raw devices, an alternative I can think of is to unload my data into ascii files and store them into the optical.
