What about automatically switching from backup to primary when one system goes down? (without rolling your own scripts to do the detection / failover). DB2 can do "HA" without the 3rd party HA products using log shipping. Granted, log shipping is primitive in comparison to HDR, but I think that it is closer in functionality than HACMP/MSCS/etc. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =-----
