Temp space

Hi,
I'd like to add more temp space to my db environment and just want to
confirm the necessary steps. Is there a limit on the amount of temp space
for allocation?
I'm using Informix 9.4.
1-use onspaces to enable new temp spaces
E.g. onspaces -c -d temp_014 -t -p /dev/links/sysvg_tmp0014 -o 0 -s 2097000
2-run fake backup using ontape
ontape -s -L 0 > /dev/null
3-update DBSPACETEMP in onconfig file with new temp spaces
4-bounce the engine
Thank you,

No, there's no limit as such ..it is governed by the overall limit of 3=
2767
chunks/dbspaces for 9.40. If u r within that limit, it should be fine.

Hi,
You can use onmonitor to do so.

Subject: Temp space [4843]
Hi,
I'd like to add more temp space to my db environment and just want to
confirm the necessary steps. Is there a limit on the amount of temp
space for allocation?
I'm using Informix 9.4.
1-use onspaces to enable new temp spaces E.g. onspaces -c -d temp_014 -t
-p /dev/links/sysvg_tmp0014 -o 0 -s 2097000
2-run fake backup using ontape
ontape -s -L 0 > /dev/null
3-update DBSPACETEMP in onconfig file with new temp spaces
4-bounce the engine
Thank you,
