INFORMIX-SE for DOS (PROTECTED MODE)

I have version 4.10.DC1 of INFORMIX-SE for DOS. When starting the SE server using the pstartsq command it runs in protected mode. I was wondering if there is a way of running the server in non-protected mode? Thanks -Peter peter@miller.cs.uwm.edu
