RE: ms-access 2.0 -> inet7
Posted in 1997
Kropf, I had encounter this problem before. I had to install the 16-bit ODBC driver first inorder for the cli-2.5 32 bit (on windows 95) connect to Access 2.0. Somehow or rather the 16-bit driver writes some file to the windows directory which would able the 32-bit driver to work, even though it was removed afterwards. This problem does not occur on NT platform. You will have to install the Informix-CLI and try to use Acccess 95, because it will look at the 32 bits ODBC driver. Note that on the alpha machine, I only have the engine ( since 6.x Informix includes the I-Connect product ) Regards, Mario Estrada -----------------------------Reply Separator--------------------------- ---------- From: Kropf Johann[SMTP:office.schwarzmueller@aon.at] Sent: Monday, September 01, 1997 12:17 PM To: informix-list@rmy.emory.edu Subject: ms-access 2.0 -> inet7 does anybody know, what i need for microsoft access 2.0 to get a connection to an informix 7 database, using i-net7. -- JOHANN KROPF W.SCHWARZMUELLER GMBH., A-4785 Haibach, Tel.+43 7713 800-252, Fax:DW.218 Email: office.schwarzmueller@aon.at
