updating a table using another table

Is there a way to do this??? update tableB set tableB.fieldA = tableA.fieldA where tableA.fieldB =tableB.fieldB

Currently you have to: Set (field1, field2,...) = ((SELECT field1, field2, ... FROM ... WHERE xxx = yyy) and the xxx = yyy is required to select 0 or 1 records S.W.
