Sales engineer needed for Midwest

My organization is looking for a system engineer / analyst to aid in the sales cycle for a large software tools company. Roughly forty percent travel, based in Midwest. Good personal and written communication skills VERY helpful. The ideal candidate would live somewhere in the Great Lakes region, have an in-depth knowledge of object-oriented visual programming, and be well-versed in Windows 95 and/or NT. Everything we do is client- server and browser-based, so it's a great place to keep your skills up. Essentially, we're looking for someone to back up the sales team, give demos, perform one/two day proof of concept implementations, answer the bits-and-bytes questions, work trade shows, etc. Excellent base, decent compensation package, stock options, and a regional sales manager who's a very poor speller.
