YF I think the UNION inside a VIEW became legal starting with 7.3. According to the documentation on the internet a union is supposed to be legal inside a view. In practice, on my Informix 7.23 database, I get a syntax error. Am I missing a trick? 2. Is there a way of creating or updating a view for an Informix database that will be legal whether the view previously exists? (For Oracle databases, the command is CREATE OR REPLACE FORCE VIEW) Thanx, > Yirmiyahu Fischer BaaN Israel
