Well, according to TCP/IP tests using exactly the same hardware and database from the same wendor Unixware came out about 20% faster than NT. I wouldn't call that going through the roof. In other situations you might see better advantages for Unix, and there are things you can do with Unix that aren't easy with NT, but still the difference doesn't seem devastating. PS.: I am *not* an NT enthusiast in any way, but we should keep things in perspective. The Unix community do have their problems as well.
