ONSTAT question

Hi there. onstat -u (version 7.1) sometimes shows a user thread with position1 of the flag field set to Y. The Informix manual says it means "Waiting for condition". I cannot find anything else. What is a condition, and why is my thread waiting for it? Thanks for any help Bashar Chalabi Card Tech Ltd
