a list of from 3-6 filesystems (not dbspaces) each with enough room to hold
the sorted keys from all six fragments of the table. Using filesystems for
these temporary sort-work files tends to improve index build performance by
taking advantage of the system IO cache memory over using temp dbspaces.
Perhaps if you have lots of PDQ memory setup it won't matter, but if you
just need the space for these once-in-a-while sorts for index
builds/rebuilds, then adding to the temp dbspaces may be a waste, especially
if you already have enough free filesystem space.
