Well, actually I didnt specify extent size in my ALTER FRAGMENT SQL.
Apparently the default for a table must be 1/2 the original size (even
though I fragmented across six disks). The original included indexes,
the new fragments didn't. They too were (grossly over) allocated
seperately.
I assume there is the ability to specify extent size (though it seems
klunky - if I specify six fragments, why not use 1/6 the original extent
size??).
