Folks A few weeks ago Kate Tomchik in this group put me onto an outfit called Dale Gilbert Consulting that have a product called Inteligencia that will do all sorts of marvellous things in terms of archive and restores. The e-mail address is dgc@ix.netcom.com. Price is USD8995. It looks damn good, you can restore to any level and carry out sql queries on the archived media. BMC also have a product called SQlBacktrack which I have yet to see. And my understanding is that the ecottools people also have a product but they have not yet responded to me. The Inteligencia product will do the job comprehensively if it performs as per the sales pitch :^) I am looking at the others just to be sure we get the best on offer, at the best price. Try onarchive, which will allow you to backup and restore at the dbspace level (although it does require more setting up) HTH. -- Ciao, Billy +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Billy Wheeler Junior Programmer / Director The West Solutions Group | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | (E) billy@west.co.za (U) http://www.west.co.za/billy.html | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | WARNING: sending me junk-email will be interpreted as granting permission to | | bomb your offices and machine-gun your children. | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
