Correct Ali; Andrzej won't have to redevlop his front end; provided he re-writes his existing client-server application completely in your [presumably] text based product first! I don't mean to unduly criticise your product. I am sure that it is everything that you say it is; But the poster didn't ask for a sales pitch for a new front-end product. he wants to know if he can keep his existing one. Addressing the original question; Can he keep his exuisting front end and run against Informix (or Oracle) The answer is of course he can. If SQlWindows doesn't have a native driver to both these database (which I think it does) then ODBC will connect through to either of them. rgds -- -- Peter Tashkoff <tashkop@kiwi.co.nz> NZ Kiwifruit Marketing Board Usual disclaimers apply. It has the same functionality as Informix 4GL but much better performance. It also runs with Oracle so you do not have to redevelop your front end.
