Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

What is the difference between the "CONNECT TO" stmt and the "DATABASE" statement?
I'm looking at pages 1-78 and 1-198 respectively - in the Informix Guide to SQL
Syntax 7.1, for the descriptions of these commands. Is the "CONNECT TO" syntax
required for Informix Online, and the "DATABASE" syntax is available for use with
SE? Or is it so one can connect to a server, then connect to different databases
on that server?
thanks.
