I check permissions for this table and as informix (DBA), I have full
permissions. so it is not a permissions issue.
What are my options for dropping this database from a multi-database
instance?

Do this in an interactive dbaccess session so you can keep the session open
after the error and see the ISAM level error in the onstat -g ses <sessid>
report. The ISAM error will tell us more about what's causing the error.
Also, post the contents of the systables or sysindices record for this table
or indecx (idsdb.dbd_ix_udts). I wonder what file the server could be
talking about.
