First page is ok, next page is off a bit, and the next etc... James, I do not print my reports on our HP4, and have noticed, like you, some of the same problems. Usually I send printer output through the pr filter with the option -f (man: "Use form feed character), e.g. pr -f myace.report | lp -d HP assuming you have one. I don't think good ole "ACE" (what a misnomer!) uses form feeds. Note that with pr you can also set your page length. You might also want to play around with you HP printer configuration - on my system it's in /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/interfaces/<name of your printer file>. Copy this to your testbed directory, use it as a script to test the different settings. (And of course, read the HP manual for more interesting info about printer control codes.)
