Hi!!
In need your help!!!!
I need to run from an Stored Procedure, a 4gi, from linux would be:
$ Fglgo ejecuta.4gi
If I use the command in Store Procedure SYSTEM 'fglgo ejecuta.4gi' I get the
following error:
668: System command cannot be executed.
1: Not owner
thanks, greetings!!!
First: You can get into a lot of trouble by doing that.... For example:
If Session 1 open a transaction, and calls a procedure that runs a 4GL,
until the 4GL returns, the engine will keep the transaction open. Even if it
gets to be a long transaction.
This can lead to an hanged engine (until you kill the 4GL)
Also note that the 4GL is a completely separate process... It can open other
transactions that are not related to the previous one...
But well, assuming you really want to do it, you should always execute a
shell script, not the 4GL directly. In this script you should setup the 4GL
environment and then run the 4GL.
Don't assume that the script will have some environment and/or PATH defined.
Always setup these inside the script.
Besides, if you run a shell script you can easily debug it (make some echo
"...." >>/tmp/debug) etc.

My email works... but I don't check it frequently...
Probably the fglgo is not in the engine's PATH. Try using a full path to
the fglgo and to the .4gi files.
