online 7.11 bug

I have online 7.11uc1 on solaris 2.4. I think I'm hitting the bug #30367 which is basically not being able to do a physical restore on the secondary server. I've tried different tapes and different tape drives and always fails in the restore. Does anybody have any ideas? BTW, Informix did a smart thing by putting the bugs on the techinfo but not the workarounds. And to think I thought their support was getting better!
