Hi Ley! Probably you're facing a kind of memeory bottleneck. I had a similar issue related to memory contention on my environment (that was shown through onstat -g wmx) and it lead to a defect. Also, I had many other memory contention issues during my IBM journey on huge customer. I can't be sure if it is related to large pages... Did you export IFX_LARGE_PAGES when you started IDS after enable it at OS level? 1 - In order to get more information from the issue you're facing, look at those outputs, and share what you think that is strange. Response: That thread has to do the the change data capture feature, so 1 or more tables have been configured to have the changes captured via that feature. I generally don't think using large memory pages would be having any adverse impact ... if done well (i.e. if Informix really using them -> check online.log). Once using large memory pages, nothing within Informix should be pointing to or specially dealing with this, so no specific threads or similar - it's just memory presented differently and more efficiently by the OS. When concerned about 'ready' threads, you'd typically look at what's 'running' and what possibly is out of the normal or unexpected about this. That (VP_MEMORY_CACHE_KB related) "memory" thread being 'ready' so frequently reminds of symptoms seen around the version you're using. Recommendation: upgrade to at least latest 11.70 fixpack, if not 12.10.
