Selective Data Restore (?)

I finally did it. I inadvertently deleted a ton of precious data, for which I have a backup on my Informix archive tape. I have three databases in Informix OnLine 5.0, only one table in one of the three databases is out of whack. Now I'm up against Informix' tbtape facility which "cannot restore a selected table or database. . . OnLine restores the complete contents of those tapes, which include all OnLine databases." (P. 4-33, OnLine Admin. Guide). I also have an around the clock production shop and have limited opportunity to perturb the users of those other databases. I understand that 6.0 is going to solve my problem but I can't wait for it. Surely I'm not the only idiot who has done this to himself. Perhaps there is a tool somewhere in the universe which can do some sort of selective restore from Informix archives? Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
