Can C-ISAM be updated by SE?

Hello all! I have a client that has a C-ISAM database. They'd like to be able to slowly migrate their C-ISAM applications to embedded SQL while some C-ISAM programs remain intact. I know that standard engine can be used to update the files created/maintained by C-ISAM. But, I also know that there are pitfalls. So far, my questions are: 1. What can I look for to see if SE will cause the ISAM files problems? (Non-standard datatypes, etc.) 2. What about locking? Will the SE locks cause any problems with the C-ISAM locks? 3. Has anyone done this and what tips do you have? Thanks in advance for all responses! --Craig (craig@chemistry.utah.edu)
