If you are using continuous backup(ontape -c) and it fills up, and you
catch it in time(before the logical logs fill up), you can simply swap the
tapes and you'll be fine after restarting the continuous backup. You would
probably want to add some logical logs though.
If you are using automatic backup(ontape -a) and it fills up without
freeing enough logical logs, then you should add more logical logs(onparams
-a -d dbspace [-s <size>]) and try again.
Don't forget to do a level 0 archive after add logical logs, otherwise they
won't be used.

p.s. Many small logical logs a better than a few large ones.
