Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I am writing a program in Visual Basic 3.0 Professional Edition and the program gets its data from
the Informix database. The program usually used the following statement to get a list of values
from the Informix database :
Set qdata = db.Createdynaset(q1)
*where qdata and db is declared as dynaset and database respectively. The q1 holds the SQL
statement.
Sometimes it works and returns a dynaset of values read from the Informix database but
sometimes the following error message appears when it tries to execute the same statement
mentioned :
ODBC-call failed. [Q+E Software] [ODBC
Informix driver] [Informix] Could not do a
physical-order read to fetch next row.
[#-244]
What does this error message mean?
Can anybody help me on this? I'm stuck with this problem for sometime now.
I am linked to the Informix database via Intersolv Q+E MultiLink.
Thanks in advance.
