GoRdoN, [Geez, why not Gordon?] All one must do is create a link to I believe /dev/rdsk/[Device Name] And set the owner and group permission to informix. You may have to use the -h option on ln. Now, this is all in the manual, but it could be /dev/dsk. Being blind stinking drunk and its 1:40 am, I may be wrong since I can't read at this time. ;-) [Ok, so I'm not drunk, just lazy.] -Mikey
