The format of a newsgroup, while technologically fast, isn't as fast as the spoken word, and I couldn't immediately respond with "OOPS!". A similar posting caught my eye and got me all bamboozeled. :-) >I asked the question to confirm a sneaking suspicion I had that net answership >has declined over the past whatever. Might I ask why? Have we lost readership due >to the number of job postings? Has Informix become such a little-used >product that there aren't that many of us left? > I agree with you on the low number of responses to questions. I wish I knew more to provide better answers. A lot of the questions refer to data base tuning and admin, which is extremely cryptic, complicated, and not my specialty. I am answering more and more because I too see less and less responses. It's like, "OK, nobody else is going to answer or comment, why not give it a shot." . I get to improve my writing skills on a world-wide basis too. Sometimes I defer from commenting so that I don't feel like I'm the only one commenting in a lot of different topics. But lately I've just said what the heck and let 'er rip. If I'm wrong I get lots of email to straighten me out. \\\\|// (o o) ==============================---o00--(_)--00o---============================ Tim Schaefer tschaefe@gate.net The Computer Business Company, Inc. http://www.gate.net/~tschaefe Coconut Creek, FL, USA INX_UTIL Tool Kit is now shareware Ub...eh...Now, see, who gets to ask the questions here? --Ross Perot =============================================================================
