I suppose you have to add -lx to your cc options (and check out the position of this option among other libraries, if it is already in the command line try moving it to the end of -l options). I believe the development system for SCO 3.2.4.2 was version 1.2. There were important changes in the development system with the introduction of SCO 5.0.x, but SCO maintained backward binary compatibility. Since Informix is specifically ported with the native development system, perhaps your problems are the result of these changes. You may need to upgrade your Informix license to the SCO 5.0.x platform.
