Re: Database Tutorial

Keith, IMHO, if you really want to learn, you can't afford _not_ to buy those books. I don't believe you will find the detailed, comprehensive coverage you will need on the Web. I'm in the process of putting together an Access tutorial myself (the URL is in my signature) so I know from personal experience that putting this stuff on the Web takes much more time and effort than putting it on paper. However, there certainly are lots of useful sites out there. I just did a WebFerret search on 'visual basic' and 'database' and came up with 500 pages - and it only stopped there because 500 is WebFerret's default cut-off point. I saved the result of the search to a text file, but at 45.7KB it's too large to post here. Let me know if you want me to e-mail it to you, or get WebFerret yourself from www.ferretsoft.com (it's free) or use your favourite search engine. As this is the second time I've recommended WebFerret here recently, I guess I ought to point out that I have no connection with the publishers of this program. I just like it a lot, that's all! -- Brendan Reynolds Dublin, Ireland brenreyn@indigo.ie 'Taming the Wizard' A Tutorial for Microsoft Access 97 http://ireland.zarcrom.com/ampersand/ New!
