Now, what I would like is to get the dbase file either into Informix >(anyone out there engineered this feat?), or just into ASCII. I believe that Gupta claim that their front-ends talking thru their SQLRouter/Informix thru I-NET/PC to SE or OnLine can take a .dbf file, create an equivalent Informix table automatically for you and populate it. I believe that this claim not only applies to SQLWindows but also to Quest (which, unlike SQLWindows, may be cost-justifiable if the above is the only thing you ever use it for. Assuming that you already have I-NET PC and that SQLRouter is cheap, both of which are fairly optimistic assumptions). graeme -- Disclaimer: The author's opinions are his own, and not necessarily those of Pyramid Technology Ltd. or Pyramid Technology Inc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -m------- Graeme Sargent Voice: +44 (0)252 373035 ---mmm----- Senior Database Consultant Fax : +44 (0)252 373135 -----mmmmm--- Pyramid Technology Ltd.
