As has been pointed out before, the only Windows versions you find are for Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0. None of the Informix engines are "free"...you can get a 30-day evaluation copy. I have no idea what would happen if you tried running the NT 4.0 version under Windows 95/98, but it's been mentioned a few times where you can get it from--www.intraware.com. There were programs for both Linux and Windows NT, but I believe they've ended by now. You said you wanted the Windows version because of some issue with the UNIX editors. There are ways to work with the UNIX database engine from a Windows client and that may be a better option for you if you're running Win95...
