You could then also run WINS, which is sort of Microsoft's attempt at DNS. WHen both are running, you can configure DNS on NT to use WINS for hostname resolution when DNS can't resolve the name. WINS works with DHCP to resolve the hostname down to an ip address. Then, you'd only have to make the hostnames trusted, and no matter what the current ip assignment, the resolution should identify them correctly.
