Joe, If I bring up the new instance using old onconfig, do I need to copy the new parameters from onconfig.std over to the old onconfig? If I do not copy the new params from onconfig.std to old onconfig (new params do not exist in old=current onconfig), do they get default setting? I guess they do. If they don't then the engine won't function properly.
Typically, I make a copy of the onconfig.std, naming it something like cheetah_online. Then I open up both the old and new onconfig, side by side, and copy from old to new. Obviously, the new onconfig has new params that were not addressed in the old onconfig and may have eliminated some deprecated params. To my knowledge, if you do not reference a param in the onconfig, you get the default. You may want to check the manual to confirm. -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of TRI TRINH Sent: Thursday, May 06, 2010 10:36 AM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: Re: RE: new onconfig parameters added onconfig....
