Informix Page Bug.

Hi all We are using IDS Version 7.31.UC3 we found that we are running in to a page bug Here's the description : 101062 ARCHIVE PERFORMANCE DEGRADATION WHEN MANY CALLS TO ARC_VERY_OLD_PAGE() Just want to know if this is an OS Level bug or Informix bug. if we format the file system where the chunks are present,will this clear the bug. The solution is to set the variable CCFLAGS in the onconfig file. However you will also ned to upgrade IDS to 7.31 UC7 or later. If you upgrade to 9.4 the problem is fixed. Google c.d.i. against the bug number for many references, also check IBM site, it is well documented. Keith
Hi, Had experienced this same problem = which caused the backup to run very slowly. Doubled the usual tim= e taken to backup. After inserting this paramete= r in the onconfig file, the problem was solved. CCFLAGS = ; 0x400000 This pr= oblem came about after an upgrade of the database. Hope this will help you. May be you can search in the website to know mo= re about this CCFLAGS and what value you should set.
