Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Not directly. The only thing I can think of is that the default
ISOLATION LEVEL is different for ANSI and Unbuffered modes. This may
be causing more sorting or other activities that require memory. Or
the mode change may be a red herring and some large query executed at
about the same time caused the engine to add an additional Virtual
Segment to shared memory. Check onstat -g seg to see if you have more
than one class 'V' segment. If so and it is unused you can ask the
engine to release it with onmode -F. If it is mostly still being used,
and the equivalent portion of the main virtual segment is not unused,
you should probably fold the new segment into the main segment for the
next restart by increasing SHMTOTAL by SHMADD for each such additional
virtual segment. If this is all being used your only option is to
increase swap drive space and/or to increase physical memory if that is
also getting low.
