Why would you need to install i-connect ? I have installed informix - cli and I have had no problems and the = installation was easy except for one thing: I had a hard time finding = the services file on NT, but the books "Informix Cilent Products = Installation and Configuration Guide" (MS Windows V7.2) and "Informix = NET for Windows - Config Guide" were most valuable. Read the whitepaper on ODBC on the OpenLink website (http://www.openlinksw.com) and some of their documentation. A large number of the features and facilities of their drivers are badly needed in I-Connect as well. The security issues alone with I-Connect are enough for me to declare it as a non working solution. The fact that some people elect to open up their databases for free access and update by a large number of users doesn't help me much. There are several other issues as well.
