Hello; I am not too knowleable of Livewire. Correct me if I am wrong but it it sounds like it may be using dedicated connections to the database (from the symptoms). For example when using ODBC and a DB process is started it usually takes about 500kb of the servers memory and open 10 files -- per connection. This can be a big waste of resources if you are designing a system where connections could potentially be shared amongst 20, 50, or even 300 users. Sharing would make the system handle 20, 50, or even 300 times the current capacity if it is not sharing connections. Does anyone know for sure if Livewire is supporting shared connections? John
