Dear All... I wonder if there is a way to force aborting long transaction rollback? My IDS is 11.50.uc6 in RedHat 5.4 !! This morning I forgot to set DB to no log , so I tried to interupt the long transaction , I've to wait long enough for long transaction rollbacking, I really like to abort rollbacking long transaction , drop table , and then do the transaction all over again(in no log DB) !! Waiting millions of rows rollback is long , What can I tell IDS to stop it, I just don't care that table's data , just let me drop that table is good enough ... any suggestion is welcome ! Thanks !!
Can't do it. FYI, try ALTERING the table to RAW and use TRUNCATE TABLE with REUSE STORAGE instead of DROP TABLE ... CREATE TABLE to prepare for the processing in your processing scripts then back to STANDARD at the end of processing. This doesn't require any manual intervention, so you can't forget, and the TRUNCATE will leave the previously allocated extents in place which will speed the inserts into the table. Art Art S. ibm support can force that user their tools which is internal.
As I rememebered , there used to be a tbzero or else can make a checkpoint flag , is there a tool like that in iiug ? or it is for ibm internal only ~~
