OnLine version 6 is currently in Limited Maintenance mode and scheduled to go to Time & Materials at the end of '97. (See the Informix web site at http://www.informix.com in the techinfo center. You must have a paid-for support contract.) Beware of the limitations of such an old version. >We currently use NVL to return a value (0) in place of a null in a >select statement. Is there any equivalent in Informix? There is an exact Oracle equivalent scheduled in version 7.3, available in the Spring of '98, and no supported equivalent prior to that. You can search the archives of the comp.databases.informix newsgroup for discussions of this feature. (One way is via the International Informix Users Group at http://www.iiug.org .) ___________________________________________________________ Clem Akins (aka clem@informix.com) Informix Software, Inc (Standard disclaimers apply) International Technical Support Last seen: Learning more about 7.3 in Menlo Park, CA, USA
