Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Samuel Jakabowski could not drop a 50 GB blobspace on IDS 10.0 FC4 on Solaris 10 because onspaces said it was not empty, although oncheck showed nothing in it. Clifton Bean asked for oncheck -pe output, which showed only overhead pages used. Dattatreya Govindappanavar asked for the exact error and quoted the manual that tables with TEXT or BYTE columns using it must be dropped first. Unresolved.

We have a blobspace that cannot be dropped. Oncheck does not show anything in
the space but onspaces claims that it is not empty. Spaces are on a SAN with
symbolic links to them. We mirror the SAN to another SAN which is off-site.
This is the only backup.
The instance is over 4 TB in size and is expected to be in operation 24X7.

Is there an easy way to drop this 50 GB space?
Please list the output of an oncheck -pe for this blobspace.
Take care.

What is the exact error that you are getting when you try to drop the
blobspace ?
Following is from Administrator's guide, it might help:
"Before you drop a blobspace, you must drop all tables that have a TEXT or
BYTE column that references the blobspace."
