Q+E & Informix 5.x

I'm trying to get Q+E to connect to 5.x. It appears from the Intersolv doc that REMSQL is required. It doesn't come with the required software Q+E specifies. FWIW, I have a REMSQL.EXE leftover from an old DATALINK. I get connected briefly, but GPF quickly. I guess my real question is - can I connect: - from windows - Across I-Net - Across TCP/IP stack - Across Netware lan - to 5.x on Sun unix server without REMSQL (it's such a memory pig...)???? Alternatively, is there a better option for creating, storing and running adhoc queries in a spreadsheet friendly environment??? I'm still flexible at this point. Greg Moye KNBJ90A@prodigy.com
