IIUG negative-only voting period opens on Charter ratification
Posted in 1997
The International Informix Users Group (IIUG) is opening the "negative only" voting period of the Charter ratification process. Those members of the IIUG who would like to vote AGAINST ratification of the proposed IIUG Charter and Bylaws are invited to do so before January 25, 1997. All IIUG members as of November 1, 1996 should have received a package with a copy of the proposed IIUG Charter and Bylaws as well as a faxback form to register their vote. Those who joined after that date should contact the IIUG if they would like to submit a negative vote during this ratification period. The Charter and Bylaw document remains virtually unchanged from what was proposed to the IIUG membership. From the comments received during the comment period there were two changes made to the document. There were: 1. A correction was made to the reference in Section II, sub-section B of the Bylaws. It now reads "pursuant to Section V.B.2 of these Bylaws". 2. New language was added to the end of the sentence in the last bullet item of Article VI in the Charter. It now reads "petition approved by ten (10) other members from at least 2 separate companies."
