SQL Error -439

This error has been popping up lately. It occurs on a Mandrake Linux release 9.0 system that is establishing a connection to an Informix 9.40.UC2E1, running on a Red Hat Linux release 8.0 system. The CSDK version on the Mandrake system is 2.81.UC1. The error seems to be "Database server is currently processing an SQL task," but that doesn't really make any sense to me.
