Loading 4gl

For a short week I am having lots of troubles loading 4gl. We are currently running Informix online version 7.30.UC5 on an HP9000 with HP-UX version 10.20. My problem is that the: tar xvf /dev/dsk/c3t2d0 does not do anything. The cd light flashes and then the system prompt is returned. I've called Informix and they suggested I try: cpio -icdumvB < /dev/dsk/c3t2d0 This had the same results. Is there anyone out there the has a better idea. The really odd thing is that if I put the CD in my PC I can use winzip to unzip the file onto my PC.
